SHEIKH SHADY AL-SULEIMAN:

Sheikh Shady Alsuleiman was born in Sydney - Australia from an Arab family who migrated to Australia in the late 60's. He completed his School Certificate in Sydney before heading overseas on a seven year journey seeking Islamic knowledge in the Islamic world. He initially obtained an Ijaza with sanad (complete chain back to the Prophet S.A.W.S.) in complete and sound memorization of the Qur’an at Pakistan.

He then traveled to Damascus - Syria to continue his Islamic and Arabic studies at numerous Islamic Institutions through many well-recognized scholars. In Syria, he specialized in Arabic and Comparative Fiqh (Islamic Law/Jurisprudence) and received numerous Ijaza's in Fiqh, Usul Al-Fiqh, Hadith and other Islamic sciences.

He currently lives in Sydney and is greatly involved in the Muslim community, particularly with the Australian Muslim youth. He operates from Australia's largest Masjid and Islamic centre (Masjid Ali Bin Abi Taleb, known as Lakemba Mosque).
